About my approach
My style as a psychotherapist is supportive, empathic, and nonjudgmental. I have worked with adults and older adolescents who struggle with relationship issues, overwhelming emotions, challenging life circumstances, and difficult transitions. I work to help people better understand their areas of struggle and how they can use their strengths to cope with and overcome challenges. My goal is to help the people I work with achieve meaningful and lasting change that improves the quality of their lives.
My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and most informed by psychodynamic, relational, cognitive, and dialectical-behavioral theories and research.
What you can expect
We will start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss what is going on with you. If appropriate, we will then schedule an appointment to meet. Over the course of 1 to 3 sessions, we will discuss in more detail what you are struggling with and how therapy can be helpful for you. At the end of these sessions, we will decide together how to move forward.
Telemental Health
I offer psychotherapy via secure video call. I’m licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey, and I’m also authorized to provide telehealth in over 30 states that participate in the PSYPACT agreement (check the map at this link to see if your state is included).
